Charities

Participating in charity events is important to me. Whether I donate money, or run a 5K, I've been part of a charitable organization for a very long time. I started when I was 13 years old, I spent two years of my life as a volunteer at the Concord Hospital, in Concord, NH.
Here are some other organizations I have participated in, and written about.

Kindermourn - - There is no greater loss than the loss of a child. Whether you're a parent, an aunt, uncle or a grandparent, losing a kid is a painful feeling that never leaves us. Kindermourn is there to help. Every April, my family attends their annual Duck Race. We have a team we'd like you to join called Team Mercedes, in honor and memory of my late niece, Mercedes Caroline, who left us on March 7th, 2008.

Kasey Kahne Foundation - 5K in October - I've run the 5K in Charlotte three times already, and I look forward to running in it this October! I hope you join me. Here are two pictures of Kasey with my niece, and her grandmother. Kasey's foundation donates to a variety of Children's Charities, such as the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte.

Other Charities I have contributed to:

Amped-4-a-Cure - Supporting Cancer Research through music

Stocks for Tots -   Stocks For Tots was created as a way to bring together stock car racing and its fans, while raising awareness of the child abuse problem in North Carolina. The idea was to collect toys and raise money during a festive, family-oriented holiday event.

Susan B. Koman for the Cure: Breast Cancer Foundation.

Blood Donor for the American Red Cross
